Bus
From Segovia, head to the Segovia bus station, which is located near the city center. You can reach it by walking from the Plaza Mayor, heading southwest on Calle Juan Bravo until you reach Avenida del Eresma. The bus station is located at the end of this avenue. Look for buses heading to Madrid, specifically those that stop at Rascafría. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule beforehand.
Train
Walk to the Segovia-Guiomar train station, which is located about 3 km from the city center. You can take a local bus (Line 3) from the main square (Plaza Mayor) to the station. From Segovia-Guiomar, take a train to the Cercedilla station. From Cercedilla, you will need to take a local bus or a taxi to Rascafría. The total travel time is approximately 2 hours, depending on transfer times.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and enjoy hiking, you can walk to Rascafría. Start from the Plaza Mayor and head east on Calle Juan Bravo, then use the path that leads towards the mountains. This is a long and steep hike (approximately 25 km), so be prepared with proper hiking gear, plenty of water, and snacks. The scenic views are worth the effort!
