If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Santiago de Compostela. Take the AP-9 motorway towards A Coruña. Follow the signs for Madrid, which will lead you onto the A-6 motorway. Continue on the A-6 and then take the M-30 ring road towards Centro/Madrid. Exit at A-1 towards Madrid Centro and follow the signs to Calle de Barceló. Once you reach Calle de Barceló, Mercado Barceló will be located at C. de Barceló, 6, 28004 Madrid. Be prepared for potential toll costs on the AP-9 and A-6 motorways, which can vary based on the distance traveled.

Public Transportation
To reach Mercado Barceló via public transportation, start by taking a train from Santiago de Compostela to Madrid. You can board the Renfe train at the Santiago de Compostela train station. The train ride typically takes about 6-7 hours and prices range from €25 to €70 depending on how far in advance you book. Once you arrive at Madrid's Atocha train station, transfer to the Metro. Take Line 1 (the light blue line) from Atocha to Tribunal station. From Tribunal, switch to Line 10 (the dark blue line) towards Puerta del Sur and get off at the next stop, which is Noviciado. Mercado Barceló is about a 10-minute walk from Noviciado. Head south on Calle de Noviciado, then turn left onto Calle de Barceló. The Mercado will be at number 6 on your right.
