Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from central Castile-La Mancha, take the A-4 highway towards Madrid. After approximately 100 km, merge onto the A-6 towards A Coruña. Continue for about 40 km, then take the exit for the AP-61 towards Segovia. Follow the AP-61 for about 25 km, then take the exit towards Segovia. Once you enter Segovia, follow signs for 'Alcázar' or 'Castillo' which will lead you directly to the Alcázar de Segovia located at Pl. Reina Victoria Eugenia, s/n, 40003 Segovia. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a fee (approximately €1-€2 per hour).

• Public Transportation - Train

  To reach Alcázar de Segovia by train, start from your location in Castile-La Mancha and head to the nearest train station that services the Madrid to Segovia route. Board a train to Segovia-Guiomar station. The journey typically takes about 1-2 hours depending on your starting location. Upon arrival at Segovia-Guiomar, you can take a taxi to Alcázar de Segovia, which is around a 15-minute drive and should cost approximately €10-€15. Alternatively, there may be local buses that connect the station to the city center.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  If you prefer buses, check for direct buses from major cities in Castile-La Mancha to Segovia. The bus journey may take about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive at the Segovia bus station, you can either take a local taxi (approximately €5-€7) or walk to Alcázar de Segovia, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus station. Look for signs directing you to the historic center, and follow the path towards the Alcázar.
