Getting There

• Bus

  From Girona city center, head to the main bus station, Estació d'Autobusos de Girona, located near the train station. Take the bus line that goes to Sant Joan les Fonts. The bus ride should take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the stop closest to Avinguda Rafel Torras. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Monestir de Sant Joan les Fonts. Simply head southeast on Avinguda Rafel Torras until you reach the monastery.

• Bicycle

  You can rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops in Girona, such as Girona Cycle Centre. Once you have your bike, head out of the city center towards the north. Follow the bike paths that guide you along the River Onyar. Continue to follow the signs for Sant Joan les Fonts, which is approximately 14 km away. The ride will take about 1 hour. When you arrive in Sant Joan les Fonts, look for Avinguda Rafel Torras, and the Monestir will be at number 30.

• Walking

  If you're looking for an adventure, you can walk from Girona to Sant Joan les Fonts. Start from the Plaça de la Independència and head north along Carrer de la Força. Continue straight until you reach Carrer de la Barca, and then take the path that leads north towards the countryside. This route is approximately 14 km and will take about 3 to 4 hours. Make sure to follow the signs for Sant Joan les Fonts, and once you arrive, ask locals for directions to Avinguda Rafel Torras to find the Monestir.
