From Girona, head to the Girona Bus Station (Estació d'Autobusos de Girona), which is located near the city center. You can walk there from most central locations or take a local bus if needed. At the bus station, look for the bus company 'Sarfa' that operates services to the Costa Brava. Purchase a ticket for Tamariu or the nearest stop. Buses to Tamariu typically depart several times a day, so check the schedule in advance. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tamariu bus stop, walk down the hill towards the beach, which is clearly signposted.

Train and Bus
If you prefer, you can take a train from Girona to the town of Palafrugell. Begin by walking to the Girona train station (Estació de Girona). Board a train heading towards the direction of Barcelona and get off at Palafrugell station. From Palafrugell, you will need to switch to a bus service that goes to Tamariu. The bus stop for Tamariu is located near the train station. The total journey may take about 2 hours, including train and bus transfers. Once you arrive at the Tamariu bus stop, follow the signs down to the beach.

If you're feeling adventurous and are staying nearby, you can also consider hiking to Tamariu. There are beautiful walking trails along the coastline that connect different beaches in the area.
