Bus
From the center of Girona, walk to the Girona bus station, which is located near the Plaça Espanya. Look for the bus company 'Sarfa' that operates routes to Olot. Purchase a ticket to Olot at the ticket counter or from the vending machines. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride that takes approximately 45 minutes. The bus will drop you off at the main bus station in Olot. From there, you can take a local taxi or walk to Volcà del Montsacopa, which is about a 20-minute walk away.
Train and Bus
Start at the Girona train station (Estació de Girona). Take a train to the nearest station to Olot; however, there is no direct train service to Olot. Instead, you will take the train to the town of Ripoll. Once you arrive at Ripoll, exit the train station and look for the bus stop for 'Sarfa' buses to Olot. Board the bus and purchase your ticket. Upon arrival in Olot, you can either take a local taxi or walk for about 20 minutes to reach Volcà del Montsacopa.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore the beautiful landscape, you can hike from Olot to Volcà del Montsacopa. From the Olot bus station, head northeast on the Carrer de la Pujada del Montsacopa. Follow the signs that guide you towards the volcano. The hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take around 30 minutes. Enjoy the views as you ascend to the top of the volcano, where you can appreciate the stunning scenery.
