From Málaga city center, head to the Estación de Autobuses (Bus Station) located at Paseo de los Tilos, 1. You can take a local bus (lines 1, 3, or 30) to the bus station. Once at the station, buy a ticket to Vélez-Málaga. Buses to Vélez-Málaga depart frequently, so check the schedule for the next available bus. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Upon arriving at the Vélez-Málaga bus station, exit the station and head southeast on Av. de Andalucía towards Calle Concepción. Continue straight until you reach Plaza de Toros Vieja, which will be on your right.

From Málaga, head to the María Zambrano Train Station, which can be reached via local buses or a short walk from the city center. At the station, take a Renfe train towards Torre del Mar or Almería. Disembark at the Vélez-Málaga station. After leaving the train, head north on Avenida de la Constitución. Continue straight until you reach Plaza de Toros Vieja, which will be on your left. The walk from the train station to the Plaza is about 15 minutes.
