You can walk there from the city center in about 15 minutes; just head south on Calle Uría, which leads directly to the bus station. Once at the bus station, look for buses heading to Avilés. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Avilés bus station.

After arriving at the Avilés bus station, exit the station and turn left onto Calle del Río San Martín. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Carreño Miranda. Turn right onto Calle Carreño Miranda and walk for about 10 minutes. La Monstrua will be on your left at number 11, a striking sculpture that is hard to miss.

Another option is to take a train from Oviedo to Avilés. Head to the Oviedo train station, which is also about a 15-minute walk from the city center. Look for trains heading towards Avilés. The train journey takes about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Avilés train station, exit the station and turn right onto Calle de la Estación, then follow it until you reach Calle Carreño Miranda. Turn left and continue walking until you reach La Monstrua at number 11.
