    If you're driving, start your journey from the town of Cangas de Onís, which is approximately 30 kilometers from Altu La Peña. Get on the N-625 road heading towards Riaño. After about 14 kilometers, turn onto the AS-114 towards Arenas de Cabrales. Continue on this road for about 16 kilometers until you reach the village of Sotres. From Sotres, follow the signs for the hiking trails leading to Altu La Peña. You'll find a small parking area where you can leave your car before you start your hike.

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Cangas de Onís to Arenas de Cabrales, which operates several times a day. The journey takes around 1 hour and costs approximately €6. Once you arrive in Arenas de Cabrales, you can catch a local taxi or a shuttle service to Sotres, where the distance is about 12 kilometers. This taxi ride may cost around €15-€20. From Sotres, follow the marked hiking paths to reach Altu La Peña.
