To reach Collado de los Horcados Rojos by car, start from the town of Potes, which is a popular base for exploring Picos de Europa. Drive along the N-621 road towards Fuente Dé. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Fuente Dé, park your car in the designated parking area. Note that parking fees may apply, typically around €5 for a day. From the parking area, you can take the cable car up to the upper station (approximately €18 round trip). This cable car will take you to an elevation of about 1,800 meters. After exiting the cable car, follow the marked hiking trails towards Collado de los Horcados Rojos, which is about a 2-hour hike from the upper station.

If you prefer public transportation, take the ALSA bus from major cities like Santander or Oviedo to Potes. Once in Potes, you can catch a local bus to Fuente Dé. Be sure to check the bus schedules as they may vary, especially in off-peak seasons. From Fuente Dé, you will need to take the cable car to the upper station (approximately €18 round trip). After reaching the top, follow the well-marked hiking trails towards Collado de los Horcados Rojos, which is about a 2-hour hike away.
