If you are driving from Oviedo, take the A-66 highway towards Gijón, then merge onto the A-8 towards Cangas de Onís. Continue on the A-8 until you reach exit 329 for N-625 towards Cangas de Onís. Follow the N-625 for about 15 km. As you approach Cangas de Onís, you will see signs for 'Covadonga'. Follow the signs to 'Covadonga' which will lead you directly to the location of the Statue of King Pelayo at Lugar Covadonga, 46. There is parking available near the statue, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

From Oviedo, take a bus from the Estación de Autobuses de Oviedo to Cangas de Onís. The ALSA bus company operates this route regularly. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs around €10. Once in Cangas de Onís, you can take a local taxi or a bus that goes to Covadonga, which is about 10 km from Cangas de Onís. The taxi fare to Covadonga is approximately €15-€20. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they can vary.
