Start your journey from the town of Cangas de Onís, which is well-connected by road. Drive on the N-625 towards the Picos de Europa National Park. After approximately 20 km, take the exit for the AS-114 towards Covadonga. Continue on the AS-114 for about 10 km until you reach the Covadonga Lakes area. Park your car in the designated parking area near the lakes (note that parking fees may apply, typically around €3-€5). From the parking area, follow the signs for the Mirador d'Ordiales hiking trail.

From Cangas de Onís, you can take a bus to the Covadonga area. Look for the ALSA bus service that operates routes to Covadonga. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around €5-€7. Once you arrive at Covadonga, proceed to the parking area for the Covadonga Lakes. From there, follow the marked hiking trail to Mirador d'Ordiales, which is about a 1.5-2 hour hike depending on your pace.
