If you're driving, start your journey from the main town of Cangas de Onís, which is a central location in the Picos de Europa. Head southeast on the N-625 towards Arriondas. After about 15 km, you will reach the junction with the A-8 motorway. Merge onto the A-8 towards Gijón. Continue on the A-8 for approximately 35 km, then take the exit towards Colunga (Exit 368). Once you exit, follow the signs to Colunga. As you enter the town, continue straight until you see signs for Playa de La Griega. The beach is approximately 5 km from Colunga, and you'll find a parking area nearby. Be aware that parking may incur a fee, typically around €2-€4 per day depending on the season.
