Walking
If you're starting from the heart of San Sebastián, such as La Concha beach, begin by walking east along the beach promenade. Enjoy the views as you stroll towards the Old Town (Parte Vieja). When you reach the end of the beach promenade, turn right onto Calle de la Virgen del Coro. Continue straight until you reach Plaza de la Constitución, a lively square surrounded by beautiful buildings. From here, locate the street Calle Mayor, which leads into the Old Town. Follow Calle Mayor until you reach the intersection with Calle del Puerto. Continue straight until you hit the waterfront, then take a left onto the Paseo de la Concha. Walk along the promenade until you arrive at the charming Santa Catalina Plazatxoa, which is located near the water’s edge.

Public Transport
If you're further away, use the local bus system. Head to the nearest bus stop and catch any bus heading towards the city center. Alight at the stop ‘Hernani’ which is close to the Old Town. From there, it's a short walk. Head south on Calle de la Libertad until you reach Plaza de la Constitución. From Plaza de la Constitución, continue onto Calle Mayor and proceed as mentioned above to reach Santa Catalina Plazatxoa. Alternatively, you can take the ‘EuskoTren’ from Amara station to the 'San Sebastián' stop, which is close to the center, and then walk to the plaza.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops around San Sebastián. Start from the city center and head towards the La Concha beach. Cycle along the promenade heading east towards the Old Town. Once you reach the Old Town, navigate to Plaza de la Constitución, then continue onto Calle Mayor and follow the route towards Santa Catalina Plazatxoa. The bike paths in the city are well marked, making it a pleasant ride.
