Santiago de Compostela Private Shore Excursion from La Coruña
Excellent shore tour with Carmela
I was visiting La Coruna via cruise ship and I wanted a private tour of Santiago de Compostela. There were limited providers available. I had initially booked another provider, but he cancelled on me and tried to pressure me to book a shared group tour, which was a big turn off. I luckily found Carmela on TripAdvisor, and I could not have been happier! She was easy to communicate with ahead of time via WhatsApp, and she was very fun and engaging. She provided us with comfortable transportation in a jeep (not a luxury vehicle like most would expect at this price point, but still quite comfortable). She was a safe driver, and she was mindful of our time so that we were guaranteed to arrive back to the ship on time. Carmela picked us up from the La Coruna port, drove us to Santiago, provided lots of historical insight, walked us through the city, and guided us inside the church. We had a nice stop after for a taste of the famous Tarta de Santiago (almond cake), which was delicious, along with other sweet treats. I would suggest, however, including a formal stop for lunch or combining the visit with a tapas tour. There is a huge gastronomic scene in Santiago de Compostela, and I would have loved to have explored it more with Carmela. She does offer a food tour, and I would contact her directly to arrange a tailored tour to your liking. Throughout the day, Carmela took candid pictures of us, and she proved to be a great photographer! On our return to the ship, Carmela gave us a panoramic tour of La Coruna so that we could experience a bit of La Coruna as well. We were able to stop and take pictures of the fort, lighthouse, beaches, and the famous Octopus sculpture. Overall we had a great day. We also did a tour of the Rías Baixas from the Vigo port with Carmela, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. She is highly recommended!

Private Santiago de Compostela Tour from Porto with Pilgrim Mass
A Wonderful Day Trip to Santiago de Compostela
We had an excellent experience visiting Santiago de Compostela from Porto, and a large part of it was thanks to our wonderful guide, Carlos Sousa Carlos provided exceptional service throughout the entire day. He was extremely helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable, explaining every detail about the city, its history, and its significance. He also gave us excellent advice on when to attend the Pilgrim’s Mass, which made our visit even more special. We had a fantastic time exploring Santiago with him. The organization was excellent: we left Porto, spent the day in Santiago, and returned to Porto all within approximately 10 hours, making it a very convenient and enjoyable day trip. We highly recommend Carlos Sousa and the company that he works for to anyone visiting Santiago de Compostela. His professionalism, kindness, and knowledge truly made the experience memorable. Si quieres, también puedo hacer una versión más elegante y entusiasta, estilo review de un viajero de lujo, para que tenga más impacto en TripAdvisor.

Walk part of "The Camino" to Santiago, Private tour from A Coruña
Incredible!!!!!
Juanjo is the most expert, kind, and prepared person I have met for doing a tour like this; he truly made me feel like a pilgrim, and he also showed me the entire town and different ways to see the history of the Camino de San Diego. Additionally, he knew where to eat and try different foods throughout the town. I had an amazing time; it was truly a very interesting day. I really loved it 👍
