Car
From the main entrance of Teide National Park, head towards the TF-21 road. Follow this road until you reach the junction with TF-24. Take the TF-24 road towards La Esperanza. After approximately 20 km, turn left onto the TF-1 highway towards Santa Cruz. Continue on the TF-1 until exit 15 for TF-5 direction Icod de los Vinos. Merge onto TF-5 and then take the exit for TF-42 towards La Orotava. At the next junction, turn onto TF-21 again, heading back towards Teide National Park. Continue on this road until you reach the area near Cueva de Candelaria, located at coordinates 28.7033946, -17.973428. Look for parking areas nearby, as the cave is a short hike from the nearest accessible parking.

To reach Cueva de Candelaria using public transportation, take the bus line 348 from Santa Cruz to the Teide National Park. This bus operates on a limited schedule, so check the timetables ahead of time. Once you arrive at the Teide National Park, you will need to either walk or arrange for a taxi to take you closer to Cueva de Candelaria, which is approximately a 5 km hike from the nearest bus stop. Be sure to wear proper hiking shoes and carry water, as the hike can be strenuous.
