Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start on TF-21 from the center of Teide National Park. Continue on TF-21 for approximately 13 kilometers until you reach the junction with TF-38. Turn right onto TF-38 and drive for about 4 kilometers. Look for the signs for Poris de Candelaria viewpoint; you will need to turn left onto an unnamed road. There is a small parking area near the viewpoint where you can leave your car.

• Public Transportation

  While public transportation options are limited within Teide National Park, you can take a bus from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Catch the Titsa bus line 348, which operates from Santa Cruz to the Teide National Park. Once you arrive at the Teide National Park, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to reach the viewpoint. Follow the signs towards Poris de Candelaria, and be prepared for a moderate hike. Check the Titsa website for current schedules and prices, as bus fares may vary.

• Hiking

  If you are already within the hiking trails of Teide National Park, you can access the Poris de Candelaria viewpoint via various hiking routes. Make sure to have a map and a good understanding of the trails. The most common way is to follow the marked paths leading from the main visitor centers, which will eventually connect to Poris de Candelaria. Be aware that this is a more strenuous option and may require appropriate hiking gear.
