Car
If you are driving from Adam's Peak, head towards the A7 highway. Take the A7 road towards Hatton. After approximately 5 km, look for signs to Erathna and turn left onto the B540 road. Continue on this road for about 15 km. You will reach a junction; take the right fork towards Dakunu Adavikanda. The Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery is located on the left side of the road. There is parking available at the monastery.

Public Transportation
To reach Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery using public transport, start by taking a local bus from Adam's Peak to Hatton. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes and costs around 50 LKR. Once you reach Hatton, transfer to a bus heading to Erathna. This bus journey will take about 20 minutes and costs around 30 LKR. After arriving at Erathna, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a tuk-tuk for about 200 LKR to the monastery, which is located on Dakunu Adavikanda.

If you prefer a more direct option from Adam's Peak, you can hire a tuk-tuk. Negotiate a fare before starting your journey; the cost should be around 1,500 LKR for a one-way trip. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery, which is about 10 km away. Make sure to confirm the price and confirm that the driver knows the location.
