If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city such as Anuradhapura or Polonnaruwa. Follow the A9 highway towards Dambulla. From Dambulla, take the A6 road towards Kandy. After about 35 km, take a left onto the B335 road towards Sri Palabaddala. Continue straight until you reach the village of Sri Palabaddala. You may need to ask locals for specific directions to Mapalana Ella Falls as it is a bit off the main roads.

To reach Mapalana Ella Falls using public transportation, take a bus from your current location in the Dry Zone to Dambulla.
