If you're traveling by car from any location in the Ampara District, take the A4 road towards Batticaloa. Follow the signs for Batticaloa, which is approximately 66 kilometers away from Ampara town. Once you reach Batticaloa, continue straight on the A4 until you reach Puliyanthivu. Look for the PP62+JQW address on your GPS or maps application. The Batticaloa Museum will be on your left, and there is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach the Batticaloa Museum using public transportation, head to the nearest bus station in Ampara and take a bus heading towards Batticaloa. Buses are frequent and the journey takes about 1.5 hours, costing around 100 LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees). Once you arrive in Batticaloa, ask the bus conductor to drop you off at the main bus station. From there, you can take a local tuk-tuk or walk to PP62+JQW, where the museum is located. A tuk-tuk ride should cost about 200-300 LKR.

The ride will take approximately 2 hours and costs around 150 LKR. Upon arrival at the Batticaloa railway station, you can take a tuk-tuk or walk to PP62+JQW.
