To reach Bone Island via public transport, take a bus from Ampara town to Kallady. Buses regularly depart from the central bus station in Ampara. The fare is approximately 50 LKR and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Kallady, you can either walk towards the coast or take a tuk-tuk for around 100 LKR to reach the area where Bone Island is located. There may be local guides available for hire to assist with the final stretch.
