    Getting There

    Car

    If you're driving from Ampara town, head west on the A4 road. Continue for about 25 kilometers until you reach the junction with the B109 road. Turn left onto B109 and follow the road for another 15 kilometers. Look out for signs leading to Badulla on your right. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the area near Madapathana Peak. You may need to park your vehicle at a suitable spot before beginning the trek up the peak, as the last part requires walking.

    Public Transportation

    From Ampara, take a bus heading towards Badulla. Buses are available from the main bus station in Ampara and the fare is usually around 100 LKR. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you reach Badulla, you will need to take a tuk-tuk to the base of Madapathana Peak. The tuk-tuk ride will cost you approximately 300-400 LKR. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.

    Hiking

    Upon arriving at the base of Madapathana Peak, you will need to hike the remaining distance. The trek is moderate and takes about 1-2 hours to reach the summit.
