From any location in Ampara District, head towards the A1 highway. If you are in the main town of Ampara, take the A1 highway north towards Colombo. After approximately 70 kilometers, you will reach a junction near Dambulla. Turn onto the A9 road heading towards Sigiriya. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach Sigiriya. Look for signs indicating the entrance to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Parking is available near the entrance, and there may be a small parking fee of around LKR 1000.

From Ampara Town, head to the main bus station. Look for buses heading to Dambulla; these are frequent and cost around LKR 150.
