    If you are in Anuradhapura, start at the Anuradhapura Railway Station. Exit the station and head southeast on Anuradhapura - Habarana Road (A9). After about 2.5 kilometers, keep an eye out for signs pointing to Habarana. Continue walking straight for another 3 kilometers until you reach the Habarana junction. At the junction, turn right onto the Habarana - Sigiriya Road and walk for 1 kilometer. The Habarana Lake will be on your left. The walk should take approximately 1 hour.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Anuradhapura. Start at the Anuradhapura Railway Station and cycle southeast on Anuradhapura - Habarana Road (A9) for about 2.5 kilometers. After that, follow the signs to Habarana. Keep cycling straight for another 3 kilometers until you reach the Habarana junction. Turn right onto Habarana - Sigiriya Road and continue for 1 kilometer. Habarana Lake will be on your left. The ride should take around 30 minutes.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    To take a tuk-tuk to Habarana Lake, find one near the Anuradhapura Railway Station or one of the popular tourist spots in the city. Tell the driver that you want to go to Habarana Lake. The distance is approximately 7 kilometers, and the ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start your journey.
