Start your journey from the centre of Arugam Bay. Head southeast on Main Street, following signs towards Pottuvil. Continue on this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction at Pottuvil. Here, take a left turn onto the Pottuvil- Lahugala Road (A4). Drive for another 8 kilometers, keeping an eye out for the Lahugala Tank signs. When you see the sign for Lahugala Tank, take a right onto the road leading directly to the tank. The tank will be on your left side, and there is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Arugam Bay, head to the local bus station located near Main Street. Look for buses heading towards Pottuvil or Lahugala. The fare is typically around LKR 50 to 100, depending on the bus. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach the Pottuvil junction, alight and walk towards the Pottuvil- Lahugala Road (A4). You can either walk (about 8 kilometers) or catch a tuk-tuk for about LKR 300 to reach Lahugala Tank from there.
