Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Arugam Bay, head south on Main Street towards the A4 highway. After about 1 km, turn left onto the A4 highway towards Pottuvil. Continue on the A4 for approximately 1.5 km, then take a right onto Neilagiri Temple Road. Follow this road for about 500 meters until you reach the entrance to Neelagiri Seya. There is parking available nearby.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    You can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Arugam Bay. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Neelagiri Seya, located on Neilagiri Temple Road. The fare should be around 300-500 LKR depending on your starting point. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to the temple's entrance.

  • Public Bus

    Take a bus from Arugam Bay to Pottuvil, which runs frequently throughout the day. The fare is approximately 50 LKR. Once you reach Pottuvil, you can either walk (about 1.5 km) or catch a tuk-tuk for the remaining distance to Neilagiri Temple Road. If walking, head towards the A4 highway, then take a right onto Neilagiri Temple Road. If taking a tuk-tuk, it should cost around 200 LKR.
