    From Colombo, take the A1 highway towards Kandy. Continue on the A1 until you reach Kandy, then take the A5 highway towards Nuwara Eliya. Once in Nuwara Eliya, follow the signs towards Horton Plains National Park. The park is located approximately 32 km south of Nuwara Eliya town center.

    From Colombo, take a train to Nanu Oya railway station. From Nanu Oya, you can hire a tuk-tuk or taxi to take you to Horton Plains National Park. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Nanu Oya to Ambewela and then transfer to another bus that goes to the entrance of the park.
