Car
If you are traveling by car from Badulla, head south on the A5 highway towards Wellawaya. Continue for approximately 25 kilometers. As you approach Koslanda, look for a junction leading to the Colombo-Batticaloa Highway (A4). Turn right onto the A4 and continue for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Diyaluma Falls. The falls will be on your left-hand side. There is a small parking area available near the entrance to the falls.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start at the Badulla bus station. Take a bus heading towards Wellawaya. This journey will take around 45 minutes and cost approximately LKR 60. Once you reach Wellawaya, transfer to a bus bound for Koslanda. The fare for this leg is about LKR 30. Ask the bus conductor to drop you off at the closest point to Diyaluma Falls. From there, you may need to walk for about 1 kilometer to reach the falls, following the signs along the way.
Tuk-Tuk
For a more direct route while still utilizing public transportation, consider hiring a tuk-tuk from Badulla. This option will provide you with a more personalized experience. The cost for a tuk-tuk ride to Diyaluma Falls from Badulla typically ranges from LKR 1500 to LKR 2500, depending on negotiation and time of day. The journey should take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
