From the center of Nuwara Eliya, head east towards the Nuwara Eliya bus station. Once at the bus station, take a local bus heading towards Badulla or Bandarawela. Inform the bus driver that you are going to Upper Diyaluma Waterfall; they will let you know when to get off. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. After disembarking at the Colombo - Batticaloa Hwy, walk towards the direction of the waterfall, which is about a 15-minute walk down the highway, following the signs.

Hail a tuk-tuk from the main road in Nuwara Eliya and request to go to Upper Diyaluma Waterfall. The journey will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you confirm the fare before starting your trip. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the waterfall.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nuwara Eliya. Head southeast on the main road, following the signs for Badulla. After cycling for about 8 kilometers, you will reach the Colombo - Batticaloa Hwy. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers until you arrive at the Upper Diyaluma Waterfall. The entire bike ride should take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
