Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Badulla, start by heading south on the A5 road. After approximately 6 kilometers, turn left onto the Ragala Road (B92). Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Kurundu Oya Falls. You will need to park your car at a designated parking area near the entrance of the Kurundu Oya Falls Trail.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Badulla, take a bus heading to Walapane. Buses leave regularly from the Badulla bus station. The journey takes around 45 minutes. Once you reach Walapane, you can either hire a tuk-tuk or walk to the Kurundu Oya Falls Trail, which is approximately 3 kilometers away from the bus stop. Make sure to ask the driver or locals for directions to the falls.

• Tuk-Tuk

  If you prefer a more direct route from Walapane, hire a tuk-tuk for a short ride to the Kurundu Oya Falls Trail. The tuk-tuk ride should cost around 300-500 LKR and will take about 10 minutes. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting your ride.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and are already in Walapane, you can choose to walk to Kurundu Oya Falls. The trail from Walapane to the falls is approximately 3 kilometers and offers beautiful scenery along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water, as the trail can be steep and challenging.
