Car
If you are driving from Badulla town, head east on the A5 road towards Hali Ela. Continue for about 5 km until you reach a junction. Take a left turn onto the B33 road and drive for another 3 km. You will see a sign for Narangala Mountain. Follow the road signs that will lead you to the base of the mountain. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain as the last stretch may involve some unpaved roads.
Public Transportation
From Badulla town, you can take a bus heading towards Hali Ela. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station. The fare is around 50 LKR. Ask the driver to drop you at the Hali Ela junction. From there, you'll need to hire a tuk-tuk to take you to the base of Narangala Mountain. The tuk-tuk ride will cost around 300-400 LKR. Ensure you confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the base of Narangala Mountain, prepare for a hike. The trail is well-marked but can be steep in places. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water and snacks.
