If you are starting from the Bentota Beach area, head east on the beach road (Galle Road) towards the Bentota River. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Bentota railway station. From the station, you can take a short walk along the Unnamed Road heading north. The Galapatha Royal Temple is located approximately 1 kilometer from the station. Keep an eye out for the temple's entrance, which is marked by a large stupa and beautiful greenery.

From any location in Bentota, you can easily hire a tuk-tuk to take you to the Galapatha Royal Temple. Simply tell the driver 'Galapatha Temple,' and they will understand. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly at the temple entrance located on the Unnamed Road. Ensure you agree on a price before the ride.

To reach the Galapatha Royal Temple by public bus, find the bus stop near the Bentota railway station. Look for a bus traveling towards Aluthgama or Galle. Board the bus and ask the conductor to let you know when to get off for the Galapatha Temple. The temple is located a short walk from the main road. Once you disembark, head north on the Unnamed Road for about 500 meters until you reach the temple.
