Getting There

  • Car

    From any point in Bundala National Park, head towards the park exit on the main road. Follow the signs to Tissamaharama (Tissa) using the A2 highway. Continue on the A2 for approximately 18 kilometers until you reach the junction at Tissamaharama. Take a left turn onto the A4 road, which will lead you towards Yala National Park. After about 10 kilometers, you will see signs for Yala Beach. Turn right onto the access road leading to Yala Beach. Parking is available near the beach, and you may need to pay a small fee for parking, usually around 500 LKR.

  • Public Transportation

    From Bundala National Park, you can take a tuk-tuk or a local bus to Tissamaharama. The bus will cost around 50-100 LKR. Once in Tissamaharama, you can find a bus heading towards Yala National Park. This ride will cost approximately 100 LKR and take about 30 minutes. After reaching Yala National Park, you can either walk (if you're up for it, about 5 kilometers) or hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Yala Beach for around 300-400 LKR. Ensure you ask the driver to drop you off at Yala Beach.
