Car
If you are driving from Colombo, head south on Galle Road (A2) towards Moratuwa. Continue on Galle Road until you reach Moratuwa. Once in Moratuwa, turn left onto Bandaranayake Mawatha. Kaju Kale will be on your right. There is no specific parking area, so you may need to find street parking nearby. Please note that traffic can be heavy, especially during peak hours, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation - Bus
From the Colombo Central Bus Stand, take a bus heading towards Moratuwa. Buses that go along Galle Road will stop in Moratuwa. Once you arrive at Moratuwa, get off at the nearest stop to Bandaranayake Mawatha. From there, walk towards Bandaranayake Mawatha, and Kaju Kale will be on your right. The bus fare is usually around 50 LKR, but this may vary slightly based on the bus company.
Public Transportation - Train
Take a train from Colombo Fort Station to Moratuwa Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Moratuwa Station, exit the station and head towards Galle Road. From there, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to Bandaranayake Mawatha. Kaju Kale is located along Bandaranayake Mawatha, and you should be able to reach it in about 15 minutes by foot or a short tuk-tuk ride. Train tickets cost around 50-100 LKR depending on the type of train.
Tuk-tuk
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Colombo District. Just tell the driver to take you to Kaju Kale on Bandaranayake Mawatha in Moratuwa. The cost for a tuk-tuk ride from Colombo to Moratuwa is usually between 1,000 to 1,500 LKR depending on your starting point and traffic conditions.
