Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Fort Railway Station, exit the station and head northwest towards Hospital Street. Turn left onto Hospital Street and continue walking straight. After about 500 meters, turn right onto Chatham Street. Walk for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Janadhipathi Mawatha. Turn left and walk about 1 kilometer. You will see the Cathedral of St. Lucia on your right.

  • Public Bus

    From the Colombo Fort area, head to the nearby bus stop and take a bus heading towards Kotahena or the Colombo 13 area. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near the Cathedral of St. Lucia, as they are familiar with the location. Disembark at the Kotahena bus stop and walk straight for about 200 meters. The cathedral will be on your left.

  • Tuk-tuk

    If you prefer a tuk-tuk, find one at a nearby tuk-tuk stand or hail one on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to the Cathedral of St. Lucia in Colombo 13. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right in front of the cathedral.
