Tuk-Tuk
From any location in Negombo, you can easily find a Tuk-Tuk. Simply wave your hand or ask a local to help you hail one. Once inside, tell the driver you want to go to Pettah in Colombo. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. As you approach Colombo, keep an eye out for the busy market areas. The Tuk-Tuk will drop you off near the entrance of Pettah.
Bus
Head to the nearest bus stop in Negombo. Look for a bus heading towards Colombo. You can ask locals for help if you're unsure which bus to take. The bus ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Colombo bus station, exit and walk towards the Pettah area, which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to get to Pettah market.
Train
To reach Pettah, start by walking to the Negombo train station. Once there, take a train heading towards Colombo Fort station. The train journey will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Colombo Fort, exit the station and take a short Tuk-Tuk or walk (around 20 minutes) to the Pettah area. You can ask for directions to Pettah market from locals once you're near.
