From Colombo Fort Station, take a train towards Galle or Matara. Ensure to board one that stops at Dehiwala or Mount Lavinia. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Dehiwala Station, exit the station and head south on Station Road.

Continue walking south on Station Road until you reach the junction at the Mount Lavinia Hotel. From there, turn left onto Hotel Road. Follow Hotel Road until you reach the beach area. Mount Lavinia Beach Rock Side is located near the southern end of the beach, just a short walk along the shoreline.

If you prefer, you can also take a tuk-tuk from Dehiwala Station. Simply tell the driver to take you to Mount Lavinia Beach Rock Side, which should cost around 300-400 LKR and take about 10 minutes.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Colombo to Mount Lavinia. Look for buses heading towards Moratuwa or any that stop at Mount Lavinia. The bus ride typically takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Mount Lavinia junction and walk towards the beach.
