From Colombo Fort Bus Station, take a bus heading towards Gampaha. Look for buses marked 'Gampaha' or 'Yakkala'. The journey takes approximately 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Gampaha Bus Stand, exit the bus and walk towards the main road. From the bus stand, you can take a tuk-tuk or walk about 1.5 kilometers in the direction of Yakkala. Follow the signs for Pilikuttuwa Raja Maha Viharaya, which will be on your left.

At Colombo Fort Railway Station, purchase a ticket to Gampaha. Trains to Gampaha run frequently. The train journey takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Gampaha Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road. From there, you can take a tuk-tuk or a bus to Yakkala. It is approximately 4 kilometers from the railway station to Pilikuttuwa Raja Maha Viharaya. Ask the driver to take you directly to the temple.
