Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Gampaha Town. Head east on Colombo - Kandy Road (A1) for about 6 kilometers until you reach the town of Miriswatta. From Miriswatta, take a left onto the Negombo - Kandy Road (A1) and continue for another 10 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards Alagiyawanna. As you approach Alagiyawanna, follow the signs to Bopagama Ella. The final stretch involves navigating some rural roads, so keep your GPS handy using the coordinates 7.0713° N, 80.1637° E.
Public Transport
To reach Bopagama Ella using public transport, start your journey from Gampaha Bus Station. Board a bus heading towards Kandy and request the driver to drop you off at Alagiyawanna. The bus ride typically takes about 45 minutes and costs around 50 LKR. Once you arrive at Alagiyawanna, you can either take a tuk-tuk or walk to Bopagama Ella, which is approximately 3 kilometers away. Ensure you have some cash handy for the tuk-tuk fare if you choose that option.
Tuk-Tuk
If you prefer to take a tuk-tuk after arriving in Alagiyawanna, you can hire one from the bus stop. Agree on a fare before starting your ride; it should cost about 300-400 LKR for the short journey to Bopagama Ella. The drivers are familiar with the area, so just mention your destination.
