Getting There

Car
If you are driving from the entrance of Minneriya National Park, head west on the A1 road towards Habarana. Continue on the A1 for about 30 minutes until you reach the junction with the A11 road. Turn left onto the A11 and drive for another 20 minutes. You will see signs for Sigiriya directing you to the right. Follow these signs and take the right turn, which will lead you directly to Sigiriya. Look for parking areas near the entrance of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Public Transportation
To get to Sigiriya using public transportation, first, take a bus from the Minneriya bus station to Habarana. Buses run frequently throughout the day. Once you reach Habarana, transfer to a bus heading to Sigiriya. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you tell the driver you are going to Sigiriya, and they will drop you off near the entrance to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance.
