    To reach Hawagala by car, start from the nearest major town in the Dry Zone, such as Anuradhapura. Head southeast on the A9 highway towards Dambulla. After approximately 80 km, take the exit towards the A10 road towards Matale. Continue on the A10 for about 30 km until you reach the town of Dambulla. From Dambulla, take the A9 towards Kandy for approximately 15 km. Look for signs indicating the road to Hawagala, which is located just off the main highway. You may need to follow smaller local roads for the last 10 km, so be sure to have a GPS or a local map handy. Parking may be available near the base of the mountain, but check in advance for any local restrictions.
