Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Kandy, take the A26 highway towards Nuwara Eliya. After approximately 50 km, look for the turnoff to the A7 road towards Talawakelle. Continue on the A7 road for about 20 km, and you will see signs for St. Clair Falls. Park your car at the designated parking area near the falls. Please note that parking may incur a small fee.

Public Transportation

From Kandy, you can catch a bus from the Kandy Bus Station to Nuwara Eliya. Once in Nuwara Eliya, transfer to a local bus heading to Talawakelle. The bus ride should take about 1.5-2 hours. Upon reaching Talawakelle, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to St. Clair Falls. The tuk-tuk fare is usually around 300-500 LKR, depending on the distance and negotiation.

Taxi

For a more comfortable option, consider hiring a taxi from Kandy to St. Clair Falls. This will provide you with a direct route and the convenience of door-to-door service. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs around 4000-6000 LKR. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
