    From the center of Ella, head towards the Ella Railway Station. Once you reach the station, take the road heading towards the town of Nuwara Eliya. After you pass the station, continue walking straight. You will come across a sign for the 'Bambarakanda Falls' which will be on your left. Follow the signs, and you will reach the entrance to Bambarakanda Falls within about 1 hour of walking.

  • Tuk-tuk

    You can easily find a tuk-tuk near the central market area in Ella. Tell the driver you want to go to Bambarakanda Falls. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. The driver will take you along the Kalupahana - Ohiya Road, which is the most direct route. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your ride.

  • Public Bus

    From the Ella Bus Station, catch a bus heading towards Bandarawela. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Bambarakanda Falls turn-off. The bus ride takes about 25 minutes. Once you get off, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer down the road towards the falls. Look for signs that will guide you to the entrance.
