From Badulla, take the A5 road towards Bandarawela. The drive is approximately 20 kilometers and takes around 30 minutes. Once you reach Bandarawela, look for the road signs leading to Galapitayaya Estate. Turn into the road and continue for about 6 kilometers. You may need to ask locals for specific directions as the area is less marked. Park your car at a safe spot near the estate entrance and walk the remaining distance to the waterfall.

Public Transportation (Bus)
Catch a bus from Badulla to Bandarawela at the central bus station. Buses run frequently, and the fare is approximately 50 LKR. Once you arrive in Bandarawela, you can ask for a bus or tuk-tuk that goes towards Galapitayaya Estate. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you near the estate. The bus fare from Bandarawela to Galapitayaya is about 30 LKR. From the drop-off point, you may still need to walk a short distance to reach the waterfall. Be prepared for some uneven terrain.

If you prefer a more direct route, hire a tuk-tuk from Bandarawela to Galapitayaya Estate. Negotiate the price beforehand; it should range from 500 to 700 LKR depending on your starting point. The ride will take about 20 minutes. Confirm with the driver that they are familiar with the route to the waterfall. Once you arrive, the tuk-tuk can wait for you or return for you at a specified time.
