Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ella, head towards the Ella Railway Station. Walk along the Main Street (Ella - Haputale Road) for about 700 meters until you reach the station. As you pass the station, continue straight on the road. After about 300 meters, you will see a sign for the Ella Rock Trailhead on your right. Take the dirt path leading upwards, and follow the trail signs for Ella Rock. The trail will take approximately 1 to 2 hours to reach the summit, depending on your pace.

Tuk-Tuk
You can take a tuk-tuk from any point in Ella. Simply tell the driver to take you to the Ella Rock Trailhead. This is a well-known destination, so most drivers will know where to go. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will see the trailhead where you can start your hike.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ella. Start from the town center and head towards the Ella Railway Station. Continue straight on Ella - Haputale Road for about 1 kilometer. Look for the dirt path on your right that leads to the Ella Rock Trailhead. Parking your bicycle near the trailhead is possible, and you can start your hike from there.
