Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from Ella town, head south on the main road (A23). Walk past the Ella Railway Station, which will be on your left. Continue along the road, and after about 1 kilometer, look for a sign pointing towards the Nine Arches Bridge. Turn left onto Getehewelapathana Passara Road. Follow this road for approximately 500 meters until you reach the bridge. You will see it in the distance as you approach.

    From the Ella Rock Trailhead, walk back down to the main road (A23). Turn left and head towards Ella town. After about 500 meters, you will reach the Ella Railway Station. From there, continue walking south on the main road until you see the sign for Nine Arches Bridge. Turn left onto Getehewelapathana Passara Road and proceed about 500 meters to the bridge.

    If you are at the Ella Spice Garden, exit the garden and turn right onto the main road (A23). Walk towards the Ella Railway Station, which is approximately 800 meters away. After passing the station, look for a sign indicating Nine Arches Bridge. Make a left onto Getehewelapathana Passara Road and walk straight for about 500 meters to reach the bridge.
