Best safari ever !!

Had a fantastic day at Udawalawe national park with our guide lahiru Prasad on a 4.5 hour long excursion through brush and wilderness, seeing crocodiles, elephants, water buffallo and all sorts of birds, me and my partner had the luck of having the whole tour to ourselves which made it even more special, the knowledge and experience our guide gave us was breathtaking ! Highly recommend and would 110% do it again ! Thank you Lahiru !!!

Thushan is more than a driver When booking with Thushan, I expected to have someone who would drive me around to the destinations I had in mind. However, he consistently exceeded any expectations I had by being extremely proactive when proposing different activities. There were many times I was impressed. Three come to my mind now: The first day in Sri Lanka I sent him what we wanted to do the next day. He quickly answered that it was fine for him, but suggested that, if we woke up a bit earlier, we would have time to go to a turtle sanctuary. This was completely outside of my radar, but it seemed nice so we said yes. It was an incredible experience that we would have missed had it not been because of Thushan. The second time was when taking the train from Ella to Nuna Oya. We had our train tickets in advance, but it is usually better to have them printed. I told him we could go a bit earlier to get them printed. Then, the night before he randomly messages me telling me he already printed them himself, and to not worry. His constant willingness to always do a bit more for your comfort is incredible, and I’m extremely thankful to him for it. Finally, when booking the safari, he suggested not taking the one from the hotel but one he knew personally. This proved to be a great decision as the driver we got was notably better than many others we saw. This gave us some memories we will never forget. Thushan is extremely professional and punctual; we never had to wait for him at any time. Also, his experience an local knowledge proves very valuable when visiting Sri Lanka.

Unforgettable Safari with the Best Guide, Madu!

We had a fantastic half-day morning safari in Udawalawe as a family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide and driver than Madu. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and took all the time to show us the beauty of the park. We saw elephants, crocodiles, iguanas, lizards, and many stunning birds. On top of that, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in a beautiful, peaceful spot inside the park, which was a real highlight. Madu is not only professional and experienced but also such a kind and sweet person. We felt completely at ease and taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Udawalawe. If you can, go with Madu. You won’t regret it!
