Start from the center of Ella, at the Ella Railway Station. Head southwest on the Main Street (A23) towards the intersection. After about 200 meters, turn left onto the Kithal Ella Road. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Watagodawaththa area. You will see signs for Ella Water Fall View as you approach the destination. The last 300 meters will involve a short uphill walk, so be prepared for a bit of a hike. The waterfall view is widely recognized and should be easy to find once you are in the vicinity.

From the center of Ella, you can hire a tuk-tuk for a more convenient option. Inform the driver that you want to go to Ella Water Fall View, located in Watagodawaththa, Kithal Ella. The journey will take around 10 minutes. The tuk-tuk will drop you off near the entrance, from where it’s a short walk up to the viewing area of the waterfall.
