From Galle Fort, exit through the main gate and head towards the Galle-Lunugamwehera Road. Walk straight until you reach the main junction, and take a left onto the Matara Road (A2). Continue walking for about 1.5 km. You will pass various local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Polhena Beach. Once you reach the Polhena Beach sign, turn right and walk down the road until you see the beach entrance on your left.

You can easily find a tuk-tuk near Galle Fort. Simply tell the driver 'Polhena Beach.' The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. They will drop you off at the entrance of the beach. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand if not using a ride-hailing app.
