Getting There

  • Private Car

    If you are driving from Hambantota, take the A2 road heading east. Continue for approximately 35 km until you reach Tissamaharama. Once in Tissamaharama, follow the signs to Kirinda. After entering Kirinda, you will find Yala Road. Turn onto Yala Road, and continue for about 5 km. The Yala Safari tour office is located at No 143/1, Yala Road, Kirinda, Tissamaharama 82614. There is ample parking available.

  • Public Bus

    From Hambantota, you can take a public bus to Tissamaharama. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station. The journey takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, costing approximately LKR 50. Once you arrive at Tissamaharama, you can take a tuk-tuk (three-wheeler) to the Yala Safari tour office for around LKR 300-400, which is about a 10-minute ride. Make sure to show the driver the address: No 143/1, Yala Road, Kirinda.
